The Little Star
Once upon a time, in the vast universe, there was a little star named Stella. Unlike her big brothers and sisters who shone brightly in the night sky, Stella was small and faint. She often felt insignificant compared to the grandeur of others.
One day, as Stella watched the Earth below, she noticed a young girl sitting by a window, gazing at the stars with tears in her eyes. The girl’s name was Emily, and she had just moved to a new town. Homesick and lonely, she longed for the comfort of familiar faces and places.
Stella felt a pang of sympathy for Emily. "I wish I could help her," Stella thought. But how? She was just a tiny star, far away from Earth.
That night, Stella decided to do something special. She began glowing brighter than ever before, sending out a soft, warm light that reached all the way to Emily's room. Emily looked up and gasped. There, among the countless stars, was one that seemed to twinkle just for her. It wasn’t the brightest, but it had a gentle, inviting glow that made her feel less alone.
From that moment on, Emily would often sit by her window, looking at the same star. She named it Stella, after her favorite book character, and smiled whenever it twinkled back at her.
And so, even though Stella was small, she brought light and hope to someone in need. In doing so, she discovered that being little didn’t mean being unimportant—sometimes, it was the smallest acts of kindness that mattered most.
And they lived happily ever after, or at least as happily as a star and a girl could in their own ways.
