1、《admire》 的用法 ：【1.】 是及物動(dòng)詞，通常的結(jié)構(gòu)是admire sb, admire sth, admire sb for sth。
2、如：They admired him very much. 他們很欽佩他。
3、They admired his workmanship. 他們很欽佩她的手藝。
4、They admired him for his workmanship. 他們很欽佩她的手藝。
5、注意不要受漢語影響漏掉必要的賓語。
6、如：我欽佩她的勇氣。
7、誤：I admire for her bravery.正：I admire her for her bravery.他的事業(yè)非常成功，他的朋友都很羨慕！誤：He was very successful in his business and all his friends admired!正：He was very successful in his business and all his friends admired him!【2. 】其后有時(shí)可接 what 從句。
8、如：We admire (him for) what he has done. 我們對(duì)他所做的事很欽佩。
9、但是，一般不接that 從句。
10、如：我們佩服他的誠實(shí)。
11、誤：We admire that he is honest.正：We admire (him for) his honesty.【3. 】有時(shí)還可后接動(dòng)名詞（通常有邏輯主語）。
12、如：They all admired his believing in that manner. 他們都贊賞他那樣做。
13、【4. 】漢語說“你不得不佩服……”，英語可用以下類似表達(dá)：You can only admire her courage and determination. 你不能不佩服她的勇氣和決心。
14、You have to admire their dedication and commitment. 你不得不佩服他們的盡心竭力。
15、It was a rash thing to do, yet one cannot but admire her courage. 這事做得過于魯莽，然而不能不佩服她的勇氣。
